About Eva Deligiannis

Professional Bio

After completing my degree in accounting, I began my career working as an accountant where the focus was on governance and systems. What I began to see early on was the interconnectedness of people and processes within organisations. I went on to work with many organisations and to be part of projects that aimed to transform the way people worked through technology or process changes. Perhaps, it was my Greek heritage that helped me see work life as a system of human connections. These experiences led me to the desire to learn more about  people human nature and behaviour.

At work, I noticed how people work together could enliven or diminish the culture/ spirit / feeling within the workplace. My curiosity led me to complete my master’s degree in Organisation Dynamic in 2008 at RMIT. This study help me understand the complexity (e.g. politics/ power) and dynamics (e.g. leadership /followership) within organisations.

Over time what consistently stood out was our ability to relate to others, particularly during times of change effected the success projects was involved with. New discoveries and insights from neuroscience, turned my interest to the study of interpersonal relationships and I began my training in psychotherapy on 2010.

Psychotherapy training was an exploration of myself as well as the study of how we as individuals cultivate and integrate our own sense of identity. Gestalt Psychotherapy has taught me that exploring resistance is an essential part of any change process whether it be in our work or our lives. Change is inevitable, but resisting what is painful or difficult (perhaps for good reasons) can be our way of just trying to carry on rather than flourishing.

What I know to be true for myself is that having the courage to be curious about what we are resisting can expand our understanding of ourselves, our impact on each other, and can lead to us living more consciously.

I completed my Master’s Degree in Gestalt Psychotherapy, with a special interest in using Gestalt in organisations in 2017 and work part-time as a psychotherapist in Melbourne.

As a Senior Change Management consultant I work with the following methodologies, PROSCI / ADKAR Methodology, Prosci ADKAR, Agile Change management processes. I am a certified executive coach using best practice models associated with the Coaching Institute of Coaching and Consulting Psychology.

I support my psychotherapy practice by being a registered with Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and the GANZ.
